Frequently Asked Questions
Does the board show exclusion times as well as goals?
Yes. Our scoreboard software is developed in house, so the layout is set to your competition before the board is delivered. Goals for each team, the period and the game clock all sit on the one display, with exclusion time alongside them. Tell us the format you play when you book and it arrives set up for it.
Do you supply a possession clock with the scoreboard?
Possession clock requirements differ between grades and have changed more than once at international level in recent seasons, so tell us what your league or cup competition currently runs and we will confirm what we can supply for your pool when we quote.
Will an LED board stand up to a pool hall?
Pool halls carry high humidity and chlorine vapour, which is harder on electronics than an ordinary sports hall. We take that into account when we choose the panel build and where the board stands, keeping it clear of the splash zone and the run off. We will look at your hall and confirm the setup before the fixture rather than sending a standard indoor board and hoping.
Can one board cover water polo and another sport at the same venue?
Yes. One board handles water polo, GAA football and hurling, soccer, rugby, basketball, hockey and more, so a leisure centre running a swim gala and a polo tie across the same weekend needs one hire. Name both formats when you enquire and we configure for both.
How much does water polo scoreboard hire cost?
Scoreboard hire in Ireland typically costs €400 to €700 a day for a small indoor board, €800 to €1,200 for a mid size board and €1,500 to €3,500 for a large video board with sponsor content. Where your fixture lands depends on the board format, your venue location, access at the pool and the length of the hire.
