If you’re pricing an LED video wall for a venue, retail space or sports facility in Ireland, the first thing you’ll notice is how vague most quotes feel. One supplier says €2,500 per m², another says €6,000 per m², and neither explains why. The gap is real, and it comes down to pixel pitch, indoor versus outdoor rating, processing hardware, install complexity and long-term service.

For 2026, most permanent indoor LED video walls in Ireland land between €2,800 and €6,500 per square metre fully installed, with outdoor systems typically running €4,500 to €9,000 per m². Rental pricing works differently and starts around €180 to €350 per m² per day depending on the screen spec and event length.

Below we’ll break down exactly where the money goes, what changes the price, and how to spot a quote that’s cutting corners.

What Drives the Price of an LED Video Wall

An LED video wall is not a single product. It’s a system made up of panels, processors, mounting hardware, cabling, control software and commissioning time. Change any one of those and the price shifts.

Here are the biggest cost drivers you’ll see on any Irish quote.

  • Pixel pitch — the distance between LEDs, measured in millimetres. Finer pitch means sharper image at close range, and higher cost.
  • Indoor or outdoor rating — outdoor panels need higher brightness (typically 5,000+ nits), weatherproofing and thermal management.
  • Screen size and shape — curved, corner or ceiling-mounted walls need more structural work.
  • Processing hardware — brands like Novastar and Pixelhue add cost but deliver reliability for multi-source content.
  • Install complexity — rigging, structural steel, power upgrades and access equipment all add labour.
  • Content and control — media servers, scheduling software and remote monitoring.

Two walls of the same size can differ by €30,000 or more based on these choices alone. That’s why an honest supplier will walk you through the trade-offs rather than firing over a lump sum.

Estimated Indoor LED Video Wall Cost Per m²

Indoor walls are the most common request we get, especially for hotels, arenas, corporate lobbies, retail flagships and nightclubs. Pricing hinges almost entirely on pixel pitch.

Fine Pitch (P1.5 to P2.6) — Premium Close-Viewing

These panels are used where the audience stands within 3 to 5 metres of the screen. Think corporate boardrooms, broadcast studios, luxury retail and high-end hospitality.

Expect €5,500 to €8,500 per m² installed. The largest in-venue LED wall in Ireland, delivered at The Gleneagle Arena, uses 2.6mm pitch panels across a 10m x 4m main wall for exactly this reason.

Standard Indoor Pitch (P2.9 to P3.9)

The workhorse range for venues, event spaces, sports arenas and conference centres where viewers sit 4 to 10 metres back. Sharp enough for most content, priced sensibly.

Budget €3,200 to €5,200 per m² installed. This is where most Irish clients land.

Larger Pitch (P4 to P6 Indoor)

Suitable for very large indoor screens viewed from further back, such as sports halls and arenas. Lower resolution per panel, so you get more screen area for less money.

Typical cost is €2,800 to €4,000 per m² installed.

Outdoor LED Video Wall Pricing Per m²

Outdoor screens are a different animal. They need to survive Irish weather, be visible in direct sunlight and often carry higher refresh rates for televised sport.

The main outdoor product we deploy is the Yestech MG7 P5, which handles high-profile events with the brightness and reliability that domestic budget panels can’t match.

  • P4 to P5 outdoor — €5,500 to €7,500 per m² installed. Suitable for stadium screens, event backdrops and large-format outdoor advertising.
  • P6 to P8 outdoor — €4,500 to €6,000 per m² installed. Used for larger screens viewed from 15 metres or more.
  • P10 outdoor perimeter — €3,800 to €5,500 per m² installed. Common for pitchside LED at GAA grounds and sports stadiums.

Structural mounting, weatherproof power feeds and content delivery infrastructure typically add another 10% to 20% on top of the panel cost for outdoor jobs. For pitchside runs of up to 300 metres, the economics scale differently and are usually quoted as a bespoke project.

LED Video Wall Rental Costs for Events

If you don’t need a permanent install, hiring is often the smarter choice. Rental pricing in Ireland is quoted per square metre per day, with the total shaped by event duration, indoor or outdoor use and whether you need a full crew.

Indoor Rental Screens

Typical daily rate is €180 to €280 per m² for a single-day event, dropping to around €90 to €140 per m² per day across a week-long deployment.

Outdoor Rental Screens

Outdoor rental sits between €250 to €400 per m² per day for shorter events, with weekly rates coming down to roughly €130 to €200 per m² per day.

Delivery, install, on-site technician support and derig are usually quoted separately. A basic 20m² indoor wall for a conference, delivered and installed by a full crew, typically lands around €6,000 to €9,000 all-in for a single day. The Health and Safety Authority guidance on rigging and temporary structures is worth reviewing before you sign off on any event install, particularly for outdoor screens over 10m².

Hidden Costs Most Quotes Don’t Show

Panel price is only part of the story. Here’s where budgets tend to get blown if you’re not careful.

  • Processing and control — Novastar and Pixelhue processors can add €2,000 to €12,000 depending on wall size and complexity.
  • Structural steel and rigging — for ceiling-hung or free-standing walls, engineering sign-off and steelwork can add €3,000 to €15,000.
  • Power upgrades — large walls often need a dedicated circuit or three-phase supply. Electrical works can add €1,500 to €6,000.
  • Content creation and media server — a proper media playback system runs €1,200 to €4,500, and content design is separate again.
  • Ongoing service and repairs — most suppliers charge for callouts. We’re the only Irish AV company with a fully in-house repair team, which removes third-party delays.
  • Warranty and spares — a reputable install includes at least 5% spare panels on site.

Before committing, ask any supplier for a line-by-line breakdown. If they can’t produce one, that’s your answer.

How to Get the Right Wall for Your Budget

The most expensive mistake is buying a screen that’s overspecified for the job, or underspecified and needs replacing in two years. Here’s how size and LED video walls for bars, nightclubs, and restaurants work.

Match Pitch to Viewing Distance

A rough rule of thumb is that the minimum comfortable viewing distance in metres roughly equals the pixel pitch number. So a P3 panel is comfortable from 3 metres, a P5 from 5 metres, and so on. Paying for P1.5 when your audience sits 8 metres back is money burned.

Plan for the Room, Not the Brochure

Ambient light, ceiling height, sight lines and cooling all shape what will actually work. A free site visit costs nothing and prevents expensive assumptions. Have a look at our approach to permanent AV installations for how we handle this stage.

Consider Rental Before Buying

If you’re running two events a year, a purchase rarely makes sense. If you’re running weekly content in a venue, ownership pays back quickly. For events and one-off deployments, LED screen hire is usually the sharper option.

Ask About Self-Funding for Sports Venues

Scoreboards and pitchside LED can often pay for themselves through advertising revenue. For GAA clubs, schools and community sports venues, this changes the maths entirely.

What a Fair LED Video Wall Quote Looks Like in 2026

A proper quote should list the panel model, pixel pitch, exact square metre coverage, processing hardware, mounting method, cabling, commissioning time, warranty terms and post-install support. If any of those are missing, push back.

For a straightforward 10m² indoor P2.9 wall in a Dublin hotel lobby, expect an all-in quote around €38,000 to €52,000 including processing, install and first-year support. For a 40m² P2.6 arena wall like the Gleneagle project, you’re looking at a six-figure investment, but with a system that runs reliably for years rather than months.

If you want an honest scoping conversation and a line-by-line quote for your space, get in touch with our team and we’ll walk you through what your venue actually needs, and what you can safely skip.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does an LED video wall cost per square metre in Ireland?

Indoor permanent LED walls typically cost between €2,800 and €6,500 per m² installed. Outdoor systems run €4,500 to €9,000 per m². The main variables are pixel pitch, brightness rating and install complexity.
P2.6 has LEDs spaced 2.6mm apart, giving sharper images at close viewing distances. P4 is wider spacing, better for larger screens viewed from further back. P2.6 costs significantly more per m².
For one-off events or a few uses per year, rental is much cheaper. Daily rates start around €180 to €280 per m² indoor. For weekly or daily use in a venue, buying pays back within 18 to 30 months.
Quality LED panels are rated for 100,000 hours of use, which is roughly 10 to 12 years of daily operation. Panels degrade slowly rather than fail suddenly, so lifespan depends on brightness use and cooling.
For permanent outdoor screens visible from public areas, you generally need planning permission from your local authority. Rental screens for events under a certain duration usually don’t. Check with your council first.
Expect content updates, occasional module repairs, electricity (roughly €300 to €900 per year for a 20m² wall) and annual servicing. Using a supplier with in-house repairs cuts downtime and callout costs considerably.
